Snapshot Tool

The Snapshot Tool copies the current 3D Window to a floating window so you can edit it in a Paint program before saving to an image file.

Snapshot Tool

To use the Snapshot tool:

1. On the Tools tab, in the Snapshot group, set the dimensions of the screen capture:

§ If you want to set a specific size for the screen capture, select the Custom Size check box, and enter the Width and Height measurements.

§ If you want to base the dimensions of the screen capture on those of the current screen, clear the Custom Size check box.

2. If you want to “paint” the screen capture before saving it to a file, click the arrow below Snapshot, and then click Snapshot to New Window.

3. If you want to save the screen capture, click the arrow below Snapshot, and then click Snapshot to File. In the Save As dialog, browse to where you want to save the screen capture, type a File Name, and click Save.
