Creating an MPT
To create an MPT file for a project:
1. On the Home tab, in the Create group, click Create MPT and select Create MPT. The TerraBuilder Fuser dialog box is displayed in the background and the Creating MPT dialog box opens.
2. Add the required local and network fusers, and click Start MPT to start the MPT file creation process. See “Managing Fusers” in this chapter for more information about managing fusers.
Note: Network fusers can be used only if source and pyramid file directories are made network compatible. See "Creating MPT Using Network Fusers" in this chapter for more information.
Note: Fusers in the list are active (unless suspended or stopped).
You can perform a fuser search at any stage to search the network for new potential fusers that might have been off the network during the initial search.
§ TerraBuilder performs the following tasks:
§ Converts all layers, which do not yet have a resolution pyramid.
§ Creates an MPT file, in the project directory, using all the project layers that are set to be used in the output.
Layers that need a resolution pyramid are listed in the Layers Waiting for Conversion window on the left. When a layer finishes converting to a resolution pyramid it is replaced with the notice Done.
The Status bar shows the progress status.
The following information is displayed:
