Default TerraExplorer for Web (TE4W) Project

SkylineGlobe Server is installed with a TE4W project, that serves as the default project file for TE4W. The project file defines for TE4W the terrain database, available layers, favorites (placemarks), presentations (tour) and more. You can also publish your own project in TerraExplorer, and use the published file as your TE4W default project.

To set a new project as the TE4W default project file:

§  On the Layers page, select the required TerraExplorer Web Project, and create an alias for it called “defaultWebProject”. See “Adding and Editing a Layer’s Alias” in the “Working with Layers” chapter for more information on creating aliases. The TE4W client will first try to load this layer as TE4W’s project file. If unable to load this layer, the client will revert to the “default.kml” project file in the TerraExplorerWeb folder.
